Frequently Asked Questions

Who pays for the menus?
Valvoline Corp pays for menu jobs if approved by a Territory Business Manager (TBM). If we're not billing through Valvoline Corp, then we must collect a credit card number before we start a menu.

What are your design fees?
We charge a modest design fee for each individual menu. Costs (above) are presented for your approval as a fixed rate charge. You will be notified of any higher charges in advance.

Is there a minimum order?
Yes, your first time order quantity must be at least 500. Reprint order quantity is 250.

Do we give large volume discounts?
Yes, but it is in your best interest to print small quantities on-demand so that you can make changes as time goes by.

Do you have to select one of our Blueprints?
Most people find it easiest to alter an existing menu. We provide ours for you to alter and fax back to us. You may also use an existing one of yours.

How long does it take to get the first proof?
Once all the information is collected, it takes 2-5 business days per menu (depending on complexity and size) to deliver a PDF proof.

Once approved, how long does it take to get finished menus?
Allow 10 business days from day of approval for printing, finishing and shipping time.

What happens if the project is terminated?
We will charge a $100 'kill fee' if we create a menu proof that is not approved in a timely manner, or if the project is deemed by us to be 'terminated'.

Who owns the menu artwork?
We will not share your logo or other trademarked property with others. However, menu artwork is our copyrighted property and may be shared with others as Samples or Blueprints.

Do extra colors cost extra?
No, due to the nature of our digital printing process, colors are not priced separately.

What kind of paper are menus printed on?
For most menus we use a bright white, coated 100# text sheet.

Can we print on recycled paper?
Absolutely, talk to our design staff for recommendations. Additional paper fees may be apply.
